The Golem series were built by the Concordiat as export-versions of the Bolos. They lacked the classified psychotronics that made the Bolos self-aware, instead using automation similar to that of earlier Bolos. The Golem-III had a three man crew and the same hull and armament as a Bolo Mark XXIV/B although it was outclassed in practise.

Two Golem-III in mercenary/pirate hands were destroyed on Santa Cruz by the Bolo Mark XXIII/B-0075-NKE during a short exchange of fire.
